Local Seattle Short Term Equipment Rentals:
(Please call for rates for tours or large system packages)

You will notice that these rates are substantially less than many other Seattle based Lighting Suppliers.
That is because I feel that people ought to be able to afford production for thier shows - and I try not to gouge people.

For long term leased systems, a solid system for a nightclub (featuring around 15 Colorblast fixtures) would probably run about $700 per month but could be much less or much more depending on the gear thats required. For an example of a system thats been installed for about a year now, please take a look at the system at The Little Red Studio on Dexter and Harrison here in Seattle.

The rates below are daily, and these prices are for rental of the gear when I am NOT also being hired as the Lighting Designer for the show at hand. If you are also hiring me, some of these rates are much lower.
Weekly rates are double daily rates.
Pick-up and Return are at my shop in West Seattle.
Delivery and Set-up is available.

Colorblast CB-12 - $50
I appear to own more of these than anyone else in town at this point.
A colorblast is a color chainging LED fixture that requires almost no power to operate.
I used 30 of these to light the roof of the Seattle Space Needle for a party. I also took 12 to do an outdoor show in Marymoor Park (in Redmond) for an audience of 3000.
They are compact and easy to move. 4 to 10 of these with a follow spot will make any band look amazing on even the smallest of stages.
You will also need a lighting controller to make these lights "go".

Follow Spot - $35
This is actually a converted leko, but it's got amazing punch (it's an Altman KL-10 5degree - a thouroughly superior lighting fixture).
I've used this fixture in the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York with an audience of 4000
It doesn't have a color boom but it does have an iris to change the size of the beam, and you can put colored gel in front of it.
There have been times when I have taken JUST this one fixture to a show to add to a clubs house system, and it made the show.

Small (Fog Hog) Smoke machine - $35
This machine can fill a small club stage with a 5 or so second blast.

Large (Lightwave F-100) Smoke Machine - $50
This machine can fill a LARGE club stage with a 5 or so second blast.

Diversitronics Luma-Power SuperStrobe - $20
A controller will be included with the unit.
These are VERY powerful strobes. They can generate 50 Joules (or about 1200 Lumens) of light energy per flash.
There are 3 of these available and for $10 more you can get the 4 way synchronized strobe controller to make them do chase patterns.

Confetti Cannon - $40
This is the Air Tank Variety - featuring a 27" long barrel with a generous 3 3/8" diameter will allow you to load well over a pound of your favorite confetti.
Lifting cups seperator disks and compression caps are available for an additional charge (of about $2 each)
Confetti is extra, but I can provide confetti or streamers in a variety of styles (think mylar) but advance reservations are required for that.

1000watt Par 64 lamps (usually used as floor lamps) - $10
You may also need Dimming and a Controller to make use of these instruments.

Martin 812 automated lighting fixture - $35
These fixtures have an HTI150 light source.
These are DMX controlled Lighting fixtures.
Intelligent Lighting Controllers for these fixtures range in rental price from $50 to $400 per night
HOWEVER - they can be crudly controlled by any dmx controller (using 5 control channels per fixture).

Clay Paky SL300 or SW300 automated lighting fixture - $100
These fixtures have an HTI300 Light source.
The SL300 are spotlight type fixtures, and the SW300's are color wash type fixtures.
These are DMX controlled Lighting fixtures.
Intelligent Lighting Controllers for these fixtures range in rental price from $50 to $400 per night
HOWEVER - they can be crudly controlled by any dmx controller (using 7 control channels per fixture).

24 Channel Leprecon DMX Controller - $50
This is an appropriate controller for the colorblasts. It has chases and banks of preset looks that can all be programmed.
It travels in a road case, and has seen a lot of touring action.

4 Channel x 1000Watt Dimmer - $25
This is a DMX or MPX controlled Dimmer
4000Watts max on the unit.

12' Crank-Up stands (for the pair) - $25

Full 8000Watt lighting system - $150
Includes: 8 racked 1000Watt pars, crank stands, dimmers, controller, snake, and cabling This is sufficient to light a small stage (100 seat room) with front light. 2 of these systems are sufficient to light a mid sized stage (200 seat room) front and back.

Please call for rates on Laser Systems (with certified Laser operator).

Remember to book gear early!
